FLORINA SUMMER FENCING CAMP 2025 – OFFICIAL INVITATION
Dear Fencing Friends,
After 3 unforgettable years (2022-2023-2024) and remarkable deployment of Summer Fencing Activities in Konitsa, the Organizing Committee decided to move it to the Greek Mother Land of Fencing, FLORINA!
PLACE:
Florina (Greek: Φλώρινα, Flórina) is a town and municipality in the mountainous northwestern Macedonia, Greece. Its motto is, ‘Where Greece begins’.[3]The town of Florina is the capital of the Florina regional unit and also the seat of the eponymous municipality. It belongs to the administrative region of Western Macedonia. The town’s population is 17,188 people (2021 census). It is in a wooded valley about 13 km (8 mi) south of the international border of Greece with North Macedonia.
Trip to Florina by Car following EGNATIA Highway, by Airplane through Thessaloniki Airport or Skopje Airport (N. Macedonia).
Special transportation demands from Thessaloniki and Athens can be served with extra cost.
The altitude of Florina is 687m.
All fencing training activities will be hosted in Florina Fencing Club Sports Arena (www.oxif.gr) includes 2 Indoor Sports Halls with 28 fencing pistes, Gym etc.
All participants will stay (accommodation + food) in Hotels within 10-15 min walking distance from Fencing Arena.
Special Nutrition Program will be based on famous local food products (meat, chicken, salads, milk, eggs etc)
